Assisted chief prosecutor in prosecuting criminal offenses on Indian reservation bordering Phoenix metropolitan area with very heavy criminal activity; represented the Community at various court proceedings, including arraignments, bail-bond hearings, pretrial conferences, and various hearings for extradition, identity, probable cause, suppression, probation-revocation, change-of-plea, status, sentencing, restitution and review; communicated with, interviewed and prepared victims and other witnesses for trial; provided defendants and defense counselors with discovery and plea offers; conducted jury and bench trials; researched legal issues and wrote motions, responses and other legal briefs and filings; helped draft legislation regarding court rules, animal control ordinance, appellate court rules and gang-weapon ordinance. Since November 2008, oversaw the work of subordinates, including clerks and junior attorneys; helped manage office operations.
