Jonathan Joseph Goebel

With over fourteen years practicing criminal law, Jonathan Goebel has litigated criminal matters ranging from misdemeanors to complex felony cases throughout Arizona.Jonathan is an exceptional trial attorney who has won countless jury trials and is well regarded in the Arizona legal community as a one of the most effective trial attorneys in the State. As a former Maricopa County Deputy Attorney, Assistant Arizona Attorney General, and active criminal defense attorney, Jonathan has spent his entire career in Arizona’s various criminal justice arenas and has a tremendous experience in all criminal matters. He has represented clients in nearly every court in Arizona earning many complete dismissals of all his clients' charges by successfully arguing numerous types of pretrial motions. Most importantly, Jonathan fully subscribes to the philosophy of aggressively representing his clients in Court, but also spending the time with them to understand their perspective and explain the proceedings to get their insight. He is one of four Board certified DUI attorneys in the State.

Jonathan has been Peer-Reviewed Rated AV (the highest honor) by Martindale-Hubble. He is certified as a DUI Certified Specialist by the National College of DUI Defense (NCDD). Jonathan was recently featured on Episode 6 of Pink Collar Crimes on CBS regarding his representation of a defendant whom was charged in the largest coupon scam in US history.

He lives in Scottsdale, Arizona with his wonderful wife Alyssa Watral Goebel. He is an avid golfer with a six handicap, and is a huge Arizona Cardinals fan (a twelve-year season-ticket holder).
