He provides legal assistance to asset managers, hedge funds, broker-dealers, traders, analysts and to many others within the industry. Mr. Sweeting has successfully litigated a variety of claims in state and federal courts or through arbitration relating to contract breaches, fraud, unfair trade practices, collection actions, restrictive covenants, intentional torts, negligence, wrongful termination, state and federal discrimination laws, wage and overtime laws, whistleblower cases and criminal misconduct. Mr. Sweeting earned his J.D. from New York Law School, graduating cum laude. He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut where he received a B.A. in economics and history and regularly appeared on the Dean’s List.
