Hopefully I did a decent job explaining the changes and clarifications the IRS made to the 2012 OVDP program. We have found a lot of inconsistencies still, so expect more updates as we go along. But the basics have not changed at all.

And one HUGE change (for the worse) is that it used to be that you could file an OVDP as long as you weren't personally under investigation by the DOJ or audit by the IRS.
The IRS tells us that has changed. And if your bank is now under investigation or audit, you may have a hard time getting into the OVDP. So if you are thinking about OVDP, its really time to make a choice. We've developed our guide (at the link above) to walk you through the process. It can be a bitter pill to swallow, but it beats the alternative.

Implementing any one or combination of these options is just part of the the process. So much of tax resolution is with the set up and then oftentimes, you'll need to appeal any denial.
