For the last 18 years of being an attorney I have been interested in a vast array of legal experience in pursuing personal injury cases on behalf of my clients as well as defending clients charged with criminal offenses. In all, I have had 9,000 appearances with local courts in Northwest Indiana consisting trials, hearings, status conferences and initial hearing. In addition to my litigation duties as an attorney, I also have taught over ten years for a local university in the areas of public policy/political science, business law, business ethics, labor law and criminal justice for graduate and undergraduate students. I graduated with Senior Honors from Valparaiso School of Law and Honors from Indiana University.
After graduating law school, I have been representing thousands of individuals for the last eighteen years. Over the years, I have represented a diverse group of clients in cases ranging from personal injury matters, civil rights claims and criminal law. Specifically, in addition to handling criminal cases, I have had extensive experience with the criminal justice system by making claims against jails for unsanitary conditions, excessive force claims, prisoner assaults, overcrowding, MRSA and custodial rape of a female inmate by jail personnel. I have deposed over 20 police officers and administrators involving civil rights cases. I have worked with and against local agencies ranging from the FBI, United States Customs and Immigration and local law enforcement agencies. In my criminal practice, I have represented individuals charged with murder, human trafficking, robbery, operating while intoxicated as well as other misdemeanors and felonies.
In my 18 years of personal injury practice, I have had over 1,300 court appearances regarding personal injury cases, which resulted in over $5,000,000.00, in jury verdict and settlements on behalf of my clients.
