Timothy Denison Attorney Profile
http://www.TimDenisonLaw.com I'm a Louisville attorney and have practiced for over 20 years. I handle cases in Louisville and the surrounding counties.

I've built a reputation as an aggressive, in your face lawyer over the years. My style and attitude are meant to do everything possible to effectively represent my clients in district, circuit and state courts. I'm also licensed to practice in front of the United States Supreme Court.

The bulk of my law firm cases involve criminal defense. I've represented judges, other lawyers and everyday people. Clients contact me to handle drug charges, murder and manslaughter cases, DUI and traffic violations as well as rape allegations and other sex crime charges.

I also provide effective legal representation for divorce and family law cases. The majority of these cases are in Louisville, Elizabethtown, Shelbyville and the surrounding counties.

Some of my clients need a way to start over. I can help them to file bankruptcy and if needed, expunge criminal charges from their records.

If you need effective legal representation, call the lawyer judges call. Call the lawyer the lawyers call. Call the lawyer the people call. That's me. Tim Denison.

Louisville Kentucky College Student Defense Attorney
http://www.TimDenisonLaw.com College students can be charged and arrested for crimes which can have severe consequences. If you’ve been charges with a crime in Kentucky, you need an attorney with experience defending students against various criminal charges. Your ability to continue your studies at a particular university as well as your personal reputation and job prospects are at risk.

The typical legal issues for college students include:
• Underage Drinking
• DUI (DWI)
• Speeding Tickets and other traffic violations
• Assault
• Possession of drugs (including marijuana, meth, cocaine, etc.)
• Crimes of a sexual nature including rape (on or off campus)

I’ve practiced law for over twenty years. You’ll from the profile on my website that I graduated from Western Kentucky University and later earned my law degree at the University of Louisville. I know these areas well. Regardless of where you attend school, you need an aggressive lawyer who knows how to defend your rights, your reputation and your future.

Criminal charges can impact other areas of your life. Even if you’re found non-guilty, you still may face the stigma of having been involved in a crime. The social consequences can have a lasting impact affecting your status in a fraternity or sorority, campus organizations, college athletic teams and other groups.

You may be concerned about how your parents will react to the situation. As a criminal defense attorney, you can rest assured that what you and I discuss must remain confidential under attorney-client privilege. If you give me permission, I can speak with your parents or others about your situation, but not until you give me permission.

Depending upon the type of criminal charge against you, I may be able to get the charges dismissed or negotiated down, before the public is made aware of your situation. The last thing you need is media coverage that can be found, via the Internet, by prospective employers – even years from now.

Your criminal history (or lack thereof) is an important issue for employers. I also handle expungements. There’s a legal process, which can actually remove certain charges from your record. This is referred to as “expunging your record.” Should you already have criminal charges, I can investigate the situation and work to remove these charges for you.
Regardless of where you attend college, I’ve devoted part of my practice (as well as my website) to helping students accused of crimes in Kentucky. I’m not your typical lawyer – I don’t want to be. What I am is an effective advocate for your rights and your reputation. It doesn’t matter where you’re currently enrolled (UK, U of L, Bellarmine, Western Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky, Murray State, Morehead State or any of our junior colleges, vocational programs or professional programs such as ITT Tech or National College), I can help you.
.
Contact my Louisville office for a discrete and confidential discussion of your situation. I’ll speak with you personally so we can begin developing a strategy to protect your reputation. My office number is (502) 589-6916. For more information, visit my website at http://www.TimDenisonLaw.com.

Kentucky Drug Charge Defense Attorney Denison
http://TimDenisonLaw.com Have you or a family member been arrested on Kentucky drug charges? I’ve practiced criminal defense law in Louisville for over 20 years. I represent clients across Kentucky.

Drug crimes range from possession, manufacturing, cultivation and trafficking. There are other charges that may also be involved (e.g. possession of drug paraphernalia, intent to distribute, etc.). Regardless, they can have a serious impact on your freedom and your reputation. You need an experienced Louisville attorney who understands the laws involving drugs. You deserve an aggressive defense focused on dropping charges, negotiating down the charges, and ultimately achieving a not-guilty verdict. Experience is important.

Over the years, I’ve handled cases involving the following:
- Marijuana
- Cocaine
- Methamphetamine
- Heroin
- Prescription Pill Abuse

I’ve represented young clients, college students, everyday people and professionals. Kentucky drug charges carry stiff penalties. If you’ve had previous arrests, jail time or other drug-related issues, the risks are even higher.

I’m licensed to practice in district and circuit court, state courts and even the US Supreme Court.

I work to carefully review the facts of each case. After you and I discuss the situation, we’ll begin crafting a strategy to
• Dismantle the prosecution’s allegations,
• Disprove eyewitness testimonies (which are often unreliable) and
• Pound on each and every vulnerability of the case against you.

I’m not your average attorney. Kentucky drug crimes are complicated cases. It takes focus, determination and a willingness to stand toe-to-toe against the county attorney, state prosecutor, FBI, ATF and any other government agency, which may get involved.

Your case is going to be one of the most important issues in your life. I’ll communicate with you every step of the way. Most Kentucky drug crime cases require a mix of legal strategy, a complete understanding of the facts and the finesse to know when to attack and when to keep quiet.

Once your case is resolved, we can also work toward an expungement. Kentucky law allows for some cases to be expunged from your record. This means that the charges may be able to be erased from your record. This is especially important if you’re seeking employment.

Regardless of the type of drug crime you’ve been accused of, I have probably defended against the same charges. No two cases are alike. It takes hard work to win theses cases. Don’t let the prosecutor manipulate you or public opinion before all the facts are known and on the table. Your reputation and your freedom are valuable. I’m a Louisville, Kentucky criminal defense lawyer. Sometimes you need brains. Sometimes you need brawn. When you need both, you need me – Tim Denison.

Contact my office for a discrete and confidential discussion of your situation. I’ll speak with you personally so we can begin developing a strategy to protect your reputation. My office number is (502) 589-6916. For more information, visit my website at http://www.TimDenisonLaw.com.

Louisville Family Law Attorney
http://TimDenisonLaw.com Are you thinking about filing for divorce in Louisville? If you are dealing with family law issues, I can help. I’ve practiced law for over 20 years. My office is only 1-block from the courthouse.

Dealing with family law issues in Louisville, Jefferson County, Elizabethtown and even Shelby County requires experience and careful planning. It’s important to understand that “family law” means different things to different people. It covers a broad range of topics including:

- Divorce
- Child Support
- Parenting Time and Visitation
- Emergency Protective Orders (EPOs)
- Domestic Violence Orders (DVOs)
- And much more

The initial terms of your divorce settlement typically provide for the division of assets and property, provisions for child custody and support as well as any spousal support. Overtime, you may experience changes in your marital status, location and even financial circumstances. Either you or your former spouse may seek a post-decree modification, which seeks a change to the original divorce settlement.

I’m available discuss various options, obstacles and processes involved in all aspects of family law in Louisville and the surrounding counties. My clients know me as a fierce advocate – someone who fights relentlessly to assert and protect the rights of my divorce clients.

If you need protection from your spouse during your divorce proceedings, I can help you file emergency protective orders and/or domestic violence orders. Alternatively, if one of these orders has already been filed against you, I can work on your behalf to limit the impact of these orders. I have an extensive background as a Kentucky criminal defense attorney. Should allegations of drug use, physical or sexual abuse or other serious issues be involved, you can rely on my confidence in dealing with these issues.

Many Louisville divorce cases involve children. I take time to educate my clients on how child support, custody and visitation schedules are typically established. Your case may have special circumstances requiring us to develop a plan to protect your right to interact with your children.

It’s not uncommon for unmarried couples to have children. Proving paternity and pursuing child support can be done to ensure you don’t bear the cost of raising children on your own.

If you need to file for divorce in Louisville, or the surrounding counties, make sure you understand the process. You should be informed about the issues involved and what you might expect to encounter during the divorce process. It’s a highly emotional time for many of my clients. Rest assured that I’ll help you to consider the short-term options and long-term ramifications of the decisions made.

Knowledge is power. You can rely on my experience over the past 20+ years of litigating in courts across Kentucky.

Attorney Discipline and Judicial Misconduct Charges
http://www.TimDenisonLaw.com As a Louisville criminal defense attorney, part of my practice focuses on charges involving attorney discipline and judicial misconduct. Citizens, the Kentucky Bar Association and/or the Judicial Conduct Commission, usually bring these types of charges.

I present continuing legal education seminars for other attorneys. During the past 15 years, I’ve presented extensively on the topic of legal ethics and attorney discipline. These are serious matters for all involved. Residents of Louisville, as well as the rest of Kentucky should expect high standards of conduct from attorneys, judges and our legal system in general. When legal practitioners fall short in their duties, or blatantly break the law (for whatever purpose) they deserve to be held accountable.

In Kentucky, the governing bodies are the Kentucky Bar Association and the Judicial Conduct Commission. Depending upon the severity of the action, attorneys can be suspended, censured and even risk disbarment (loss of law license) if the Association rules against them. A judge can face similar penalties, including removal from the bench.

Allegations of legal malpractice or judicial misconduct are serious. They can have significant ramifications. Those attorneys and judges who have claims filed against them need the representation of an attorney who knows the legal system and the ethical standards required. I have a successful history of defending both attorneys and judges. As in other legal situations, this is not an area for pro se representation, regardless of your skill, experience or understanding of the facts. You need effective counsel to represent you.

I’ve practiced for over 20 years. During that time, I’ve fought aggressively to defend the rights of my clients. However, there are also times when tact and a delicate had are necessary. I’ve built a reputation for knowing how to apply my litigation skills based on what’s best for my clients. Sometimes it’s about short-term wins. Sometimes it’s about focusing on the long-term victory. Either way, you need an attorney who can stay focused on the facts and issues that matter.

I can handle cases across the Commonwealth from Paducah to Ashland. If allegations of attorney or judicial misconduct are have been made, contact me immediately. Steps need to be taken to assess the facts, develop a strategy and to mount the proper defense of your actions and reputation.

If you’re a legal practitioner, you know time matters. Don’t wait to engage your advocate. If the matter can be diffused via negotiations I’ll look for opportunities to offer that resolution. Don’t let an allegation become a media feeding frenzy that can significantly damage your firm, your income or your ability to practice law in Kentucky. Again, time is important. I will work tirelessly to deal with the media and to position your case properly in the eyes of the public as well as the governing bodies.

Contact my Louisville office for a discrete and confidential discussion of your situation. I’ll speak with you personally so we can begin developing a strategy to protect your reputation. My office number is (502) 589-6916. For more information, visit my website at http://www.TimDenisonLaw.com.
