Biography Submit listing

For as long as I remember, I wanted to be an attorney. My father and founder of the firm, Vernon Frame, was a practicing attorney for over 65 years serving the community before he retired in 2002 at the age of 80. I grew up watching him help the residents of the local communities when they needed legal advice or representation. I attend high school in Severna Park and subsequently moved to Baltimore where I attended the Johns Hopkins University and earned my bachelor's degree. While at Hopkins, I played for the Blue Jay's Women's lacrosse team. After graduation, I went on to attend the University of Baltimore School of Law and graduated with honors. My husband and I will soon be celebrating 24 years of marriage and we have two wonderful children, who keep us busy with sports, friends and school events. In the summer, I spend my spare time with my family boating on the Bay, going to Ocean City and watching the Orioles play. In the winter, I enjoy watching Ravens football.

Why should I consider creating a revocable living trust?
Why should I consider creating a revocable living trust? | Frame & Frame | Attorneys at Law | Tara K. Frame | Erica Redmond | http://www.frameandframelaw.com/ | 8562 Fort Smallwood Road, Pasadena, Maryland 21122 - (410) 255-0373 | 721 Main Street, Stevensville, Maryland 21666 - (410) 643-2202

There are many reasons why you might want to consider a revocable trust. For one thing, it is a private document. It's not recorded with the county, unlike a will which is a private document that has to be recorded once a person dies, in order to probate the estate. Additionally, a revocable trust gives you flexibility. As your circumstances change, it's easily modifiable and adaptable. Additionally, it does avoid probate. As long as it is properly funded, your personal representative or trustee would be able to avoid opening an estate to probate the assets. Additional benefit of revocable trust is the the assets are immediately available to the beneficiaries. The trustee can make immediate distribution, pursuant to the trust agreement and it doesn't have to wait or go through the probate process or go to a waiting period.

Most of the time a personal representative is going to need the assistance of an attorney in handling an estate. Those attorney's fees are paid from the estate. It is an expense of the estate and it is reported on the accounting and deducted before making final distribution.

Well, everyone needs an Estate Plan, especially when you get married, when you have children, you want to make sure that those children are protected and your family is protected in the future. The way to do that is to speak with an attorney. Talk about your individual circumstances and make sure that you have everything you need. The basics of an estate plan, would be a will, power of attorney, a health care power of attorney, and a living will. Those are the basics that everyone really needs as a basic estate plan to protect their family’s future.

What is temporary disability?

In Maryland, if your doctor takes you out of work and states that you're not able to perform the functions of your job, you may be entitled to what's called temporary total disability benefits or TT benefits. If your doctor believes that you can go back in a part-time status, you may be entitled to temporary partial disability or TPD benefits. In that case, you would get paid 50% of the difference between what you were making at the time of the accident and what you're making doing part-time duty.

If you're injured in a Maryland car accident, it's very important to seek immediate medical attention either at a hospital or with your primary care physician. You want to document your injuries as soon as possible to avoid the insurance company questioning the validity of your injuries later on in the case.

How long does it take to settle a Maryland auto accident case?

If you're injured in a Maryland auto accident case, the most important thing is for you to receive immediate treatment and to treat your injuries to get better. Once you've received that treatment, your doctor will release you from care. It really isn't until that time that you should consider settling your case. It's important to ascertain the extent of your injuries and not settle before that time so that you get the best settlement that you can. Additionally, once you settle your claim, you're not able to open it in the future, so if there are injuries that you were not aware of, you would not be able to be compensated for them if you have already settled your claim. Sometimes it takes six months to settle a claim. Sometimes it takes two years. It just depends on your injury.
