Independent workers compensation case management firms
Registered Nurse field based medical case manager: Clients included insurance companies directly, self insured companies and 3rd party administrators. Work consisted of on site and telephonic services to and for individuals injured on the job. Injuries ranged from minor to catastrophic. Review of medical records, medical research, location of experts in the field, assuring safe return to the work place and excellent and reasonable medical treatment deliverables. Nurse Life Care Planner: Clients consisted of insurance companies, medical mal-practice and personal injury attorneys. Work consisted of medical record reviews, issue identification, time line chronologies, medical research, healthcare resource investigation, cost projections for medical expenses. In both roles, I had telephonic and face to face interaction with individuals who sustained injuries ranging from minor work place incidents to catastrophic events, physicians, specialists, other healthcare personnel (social workers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, etc...), attorneys, and insurance claims adjusters.
