John lives in Traverse City, Michigan with his wife Brooke and dog Grimace. He is a board member of the Traverse City Downtown Development Authority, the Traverse City History Center, and a former board member of the Grand Traverse, Leelanau, and Antrim Bar Association. He is a member of the Independent Game Developers Association, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, and the Copyright Society of the USA. When not practicing law, John enjoys sailing, fly fishing, backpacking, and, of course, spending time with his wife.
