What does it mean to be Super Drunk in Michigan?

Being Drunk an individual has a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .08 or higher.
Being SUPER DRUNK an individual has a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .17 or higher.

Penalties for super drunk conviction:
- Restricted driving privileges
-employment could be jeopardized
- Permanent criminal record
- Up to 180 days in jail
- 45 days driver's license suspension followed by 230 days of restricted driving
- Required installation of ingestion interlock device
- Fines and court costs between $200 - $700
- Mandatory alcohol treatment for at least 1 year
