Todd Jeffreys was born in Jackson, Mississippi in 1974. After graduating high school, he attended the University of Mississippi where he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration, cum laude, degree in 1997. While at Ole Miss, Todd was a member of the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society and the Golden Key National Honor Society.Upon obtaining his undergraduate degree, Todd attended law school at the University of Mississippi where he obtained is Juris Doctor, cum laude, degree in 2000. While at Ole Miss law school, Todd was a member of the Mississippi Law Journal, the Moot Court Board and was awarded the Contracts Negotiation Award in 1998. Todd was also awarded the American Jurisprudence Award in Criminal Procedure, Intellectual Property, and Oil & Gas Law.
Todd was admitted to the Mississippi Bar in 2000, as well as the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi and the U. S. Court of Appeals of the Fifth Circuit. Todd is a member of the Mississippi Bar, the Bolivar County, Mississippi Bar Association and the Mississippi Association for Justice.
From 2000 to 2003, Todd practiced with Wise, Carter, Child & Caraway in Jackson, Mississippi where he focused primarily on medical malpractice defense, legal malpractice defense, railroad litigation and general defense litigation. Thereafter, Todd joined the firm of Povall & Jeffreys, P.A. in 2003. This firm is located in Cleveland, Mississippi.
Todd’s practice now is focused primarily on Plaintiff’s litigation, including, but not limited to the pursuit of claims of medical malpractice and products liability, claims arising out of auto and trucking accidents, pharmaceutical litigation, workers’ compensation and other actions involving injury. Todd also practices in family law, wills and estates, business law and criminal defense. Todd was named to the The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Trial Lawyers for the year 2014.
