Elisa completed her undergraduate degree at Lindenwood University in Saint Charles, Missouri, majoring in Political Science, while minoring in French and History. She graduated from the Honors College and earned the David R. Williams Political Science Award for excellence in political science, and for achieving the highest GPA in the major. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University Law School in Lexington, Virginia. While there she was members of some campus interest groups, such as the Public Interest Law Society Association, the Women Law Student Organization, and the American Constitution Society. Elisa is currently licensed to practice in the State of Missouri.

Elisa’s legal experience includes working at the Community Legal Practice Center at Washington and Lee Law School, where students take on clients that come for free legal services. Most of the cases involve divorce, custody, and the creation of wills. Each student attorney worked under the supervision of a licensed attorney to reach the final solution. She also worked as a McThenia Research Assistant for the Washington and Lee Law Library where she assisted professors with their projects. She is also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a group promoting education, women’s rights, and historic preservation. She served as a personal page for the State Recording Secretary and the State Regent, receiving the honor of Outstanding Page of the Year.
