As an Associate with Liberty Legal PLLC, I mostly represent clients accused of DWI/DUI and other criminal offenses. I also practice family law. Occasionally, I handle matters pro bono when they are referred to me through the NH Domestic Violence Emergency ("DOVE") Project or the NH Pro Bono program. (See: https://www.nhlegalaid.org/about/pro-bono). I began my career as a prosecutor, handling criminal matters at the felony level at the Superior Court and litigating jury trials.

Liberty Legal PLLC
2015 - 2016
New Hampshire Judicial Branch
Took a step back from practicing law in order to address some personal and family issues, as well as to recover from a serious back injury requiring surgery in February 2016. Received training in all areas of the NH Trial Courts - District, Family, and Probate Divisions, and the Superior Court. Answered thousands of phone calls to assist attorneys and pro se litigants to ensure that cases were filed efficiently, thereby lowering the burden on court staff and leading to more efficient use of the Courts' time. Received formal training in the electronic filing system for small claims and guardianship matters.
2015 - 2015
New Hampshire Domestic Violence Emergency ("DOVE") Project
Assisted an under-represented community of people who would otherwise be left to face the judicial system alone. Was required to discontinue my involvement upon obtaining employment with the judicial branch, before beginning again in January 2017.
2013 - 2015
Carroll County Attorney's Office
Handled all aspects of felony prosecution in the Carroll Superior Court, from indictment through disposition/trial. Participated in 14 jury trials, 12 of which were as first-chair or solo.
2012 - 2013
Merrimack County Attorney's Office
Completed a one-year Public Service Fellowship sponsored by UNH Law after passing the NH Bar Examination on the first try. Prosecuted dozens of cases in the Circuit Courts, sat second-chair in my first jury trial. Left upon the completion of the one-year terms of my fellowship.
2010 - 2011
Merrimack County Attorney's Office
Began by performing a legal externship for law school credit. Stayed on as a voluntary intern. Under New Hampshire Supreme Court Rule 36 in the summer of 2010. Represented the State in Circuit Court proceedings as a student attorney allowed to appear in front of the court with an attorney supervisor. Stayed as voluntary intern afterward, while juggling for-credit externship with the Department of Justice, three work-study jobs, and a full load of courses. Left shortly before graduation to focus on final examinations and to prepare to take the NH and MA bar examinations in the summer of 2011.
2010 - 2010
New Hampshire Department of Justice
Performed Legal Externship for law school credit. Wrote an appellate brief on behalf of the State of New Hampshire, resulting in the New Hampshire Supreme Court affirming a defendant's conviction without the need for oral argument. Various other tasks as assigned.
2009 - 2009
New Hampshire School of Law's Appellate Defender Program
Worked on several appellate briefs on behalf of indigent defendants under the supervision of New Hampshire's Appellate Defender and Chief Deputy Appellate Defender.

Menard, Inc.
Assisted the General Manager in staffing a 180+ employee, $45M/yr retail operation with job candidates for entry-level, experienced, supervisory, management-level, and manager trainee positions. Processed payroll to ensure that all employees were paid and kept their employee benefits. Significantly reduced turnover over the course of several years by improving the selection process. Achieved a top-five ranking (out of 250 stores) in number of employees promoted to management positions in other stores, thereby facilitating the company's overall growth.
