Maureen Howard is a partner at Howard & McBeath PLLC, a full-service law firm serving clients throughout New Hampshire. The firm provides advocacy in the areas of: Estate Planning, (Wills and Trusts), Social Security, Immigration Law, Family Law, Mediation, Guardianships, Probate, QDRO's, and Landlord-Tenant matters. Her practice focuses on Social Security claims, family law, landlord-tenant disputes, immigration questions, Wills, Trusts, and probate. She has practiced extensively in the district courts, superior courts, probate courts, and family courts throughout the state. Although part of her practice is in the area of divorce and post-divorce litigation, including child support, QDRO drafting, and parenting issues, she is also a family mediator, and often works with couples who seek to end their marriages amicably, without court intervention. She has been involved with numerous successful New Hampshire Supreme Court appeals, and is able to file your appeal, prepare your brief, and argue your case before the highest court in the state. She is also an RN, recently retired after 37 years as an ICU/CCU nurse. She has worked in New York, Portsmouth, NH, and in Boston in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit of the Mass General Hospital. She earned CCRN certification more than 30 years ago, and has also served on several New Hampshire Medical Malpractice screening panels. Currently, in addition to her law practice, Maureen is an adjunct professor in the Paralegal Studies Program at NHTI, where she teaches Legal Research and Writing, Medical/Legal Ethics, and Risk Management.
