Mr. Farber won a major civil rights case before the United States Supreme Court - Wilson v. Garcia - a case having national implications. Mr. Farber and a colleague freed an innocent man from a life sentence for a murder he did not commit and effectively sought compensation for the deprivation of civil rights. In white collar crime, drug, and criminal cases Mr. Farber carefully protects and defends the clients' rights. He has been a sole practitioner since 1978 with a substantial personal injury, wrongful death, serious accident, white collar crime, criminal and drug defense, professional license defense, and civil rights emphasis. Mr. Farber is actively involved in civic affairs and bar associations. Mr. Farber was an elected member of the Santa Fe City Council. He later served on the first Santa Fe Home Rule Charter Commission and then the Santa Fe Home Rule Charter Review Commission. He was the Chair of the New Mexico Supreme Court Board of Legal Specialization.
