I help domestic and international businesses and their directors and officers resolve complex commercial litigation disputes through practical and economical pre-suit negotiations and, if necessary, litigation (federal and state), arbitration, and mediation.

For all of my clients, I strive to understand their businesses as well as they do and work efficiently to achieve their desired outcomes hopefully without need for litigation. All of my clients have come to expect that I will provide frank but value-added legal advice that empowers them to consider salient risks and act decisively.

I have successfully represented clients in a wide range of disputes involving corporate governance, failed business relationships, and commercial fraud as well as other matters concerning financial services, securities fraud, maritime chartering disputes, and alleged breaches of restrictive covenants (non-compete, non-solicit).

My matters vary in size and scope. For example, I avoided litigation by recently negotiating the resolution of a dispute involving software development and the ownership interest in a fledgling tech startup. But I also regularly work on more complex commercial disputes in which tens and hundreds of millions are at issue

Aside from being a full-time commercial litigator, I am an active author and speaker in the alternative dispute resolution (ADR) arena and am an International Commercial Arbitration adjunct professor and was named a Rising Star (NY Metro Super Lawyers) in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
