Jennifer B. Cona is the founder and managing partner of Cona Elder Law, Long Island’s leading Elder Law and Estate Planning firm. She is among Long Island’s most accomplished women, exemplifying leadership in business and community outreach.

Ms. Cona’s work involves representing, counseling and assisting seniors and their families with the preservation of assets, Medicaid planning, estate planning, wealth transfer strategies, administration of estates, estate litigation, guardianships and special needs planning. Under Ms. Cona’s direction, the firm expanded its practice to include a health care reimbursement and recovery department. Currently, Cona Elder Law represents over 175 nursing homes and health care facilities across Long Island and throughout New York State, making Ms. Cona’s firm the preeminent law firm in this practice area. The firm works to secure and ensure a payment source for long term health care, working together with both families and health care facilities to sustain quality care for seniors.

Ms. Cona serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Long Island Alzheimer's and Dementia Center (LIAD). She is a Supreme Court and Surrogate Court appointed court evaluator, guardian, Guardian ad Litem and counsel for incapacitated persons. She is an advocate for those with limited access to the legal system and has lobbied on Capitol Hill on behalf of the NOW Legal Defense Fund. Appointed to the Legal Advisory Board of the Long Island Alzheimer’s and Dementia Center (LIAD), Ms. Cona provides legal advice and direction on the issues facing individuals afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease. She is the founder and chair of the Advanced Elder Law Focus Group, an industry think-tank. Ms. Cona’s firm is a member of the Intercounty Health Facilities Association.
