Paul C. Germolus has been in the practice of law in Bismarck, ND for over 22 years, and is a founding partner of the Germolus Knoll & Leibel, LLP Law Firm. His primary areas of practice are business and commercial transactions, real estate, agricultural law, oil and gas, probate and estate planning. Paul was raised on a farm outside Borup, Minnesota where he was involved with his family’s grain and livestock farming operation. In 1989, he received a Bachelor of Science degree from North Dakota State University in agricultural economics and a minor in business administration, with additional emphasis in agronomy courses. Following graduation, Paul was employed as a commodities merchandiser for the Archer Daniels Midland Company from 1989 to 1994, stationed in Ontario, Canada. Returning to law school in 1994, Paul received a Juris Doctorate from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, in 1997, with an emphasis on courses in environmental and agricultural law. While in law school, Paul was employed as a law clerk for the City Attorney's Office, and the law firm of Letnes, Marshall & Swanson, Ltd. After law school, Paul was employed with the same firm as an associate attorney, practicing in the areas of Municipal Law, Insurance Law, Commercial Law and Estate Planning. In 1998, Paul was appointed as an Assistant Attorney General in North Dakota; serving in that capacity for seven years. During that time, Paul represented the Agriculture Commissioner, Oil & Gas Division, Game and Fish Dept., and numerous other State natural resource agencies. In February, 2005, Paul founded Germolus Law Office, and worked as a sole practitioner for four years. Prior to forming his current firm, Paul was a partner in another Bismarck law firm. Paul is licensed to practice in all state courts in North Dakota, and the US District Court for the District of North Dakota, and is a member of the N.D State Bar Association & Big Muddy Bar Association.
