I am counsel at the Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC, where I focus my practice in the energy, intellectual property, and complex civil litigation areas. In particular, I have represented plaintiffs and defendants in dozens of lawsuits throughout the country. I also have experience representing clients at trial, having successfully represented plaintiffs in a case with in a multi-million dollar jury verdict, and on appeal, having successfully argued before the Federal Circuit. I am licensed to practice in the states of Pennsylvania and Illinois, as well as being a registered patent attorney before the US Patent and Trademark Office. I am currently admitted to practice before the following federal courts: US District Courts for the Western District of Pennsylvania, Northern District of Ohio, Northern District of Illinois (trial bar), and Central District of Illinois and the US Courts of Appeals for the Federal, Sixth, and Seventh Circuits.

During my time here, I conducted research at the National Science Foundation's Center for Ultrafast Optical Science (CUOS) under the direction of Dr. Donald P. Umstadter and Dr. Gerard Mourou. I authored or co-authored over two dozen papers on ultrafast optics and high energy phenomena, including my thesis--"Laser-Plasma Electron Accelerators and Nonlinear, Relativistic Optics"--and presented my research at over a dozen conferences. In addition, my research was featured in the New York Times, The Economist, and Business Week.
