Tenia Ouellette

When life gets difficult, it’s always comforting to have someone in your corner fighting with you and not against you. My name is Tenia Ouellette and my passion has always been helping people. I am an Associate Attorney for the Workers’ Compensation and Social Security department at Bailey & Galyen.

Originally from Detroit, MI, I grew up in Waco, TX and graduated from the University of North Texas before attending University of Missouri for law school. During law school I was a Student Ambassador, a member of the Black Law Students Association, the Criminal Law Association, and also made time to volunteer as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). I was also a student associate for Bloomberg law, an online legal research database. Right out of law school I practiced in criminal and family law. It wasn’t until my mother injured herself at work and I saw her frustration with the process that I decided to pursue a career change and began working at Bailey & Galyen.

Working in Workers’ Compensation has allowed me to help our clients establish a treating doctor, receive benefits and obtain medical treatment for their injuries. In Social Security, I have helped our clients apply for social security disability, social security income and receive benefits. In both departments we are there by your side until the end.

In my free time, I like to shop for antiques, rummage through garage sales and go to the farmers market. I also enjoy date night with my husband and trivia night with our friends. My favorite charity is the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and I hope to one day adopt a dog or two of my own.
