While in law school, Mrs. Surell worked for the head of the Immigration Clinic at the Center for Legal and Social Justice where she did research for a case of first impression. She was an Octo-Finalist in the Linda & Dave Schlueter Moot Court Competition, was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Honor Society and was on the Dean’s List. During law school she became a certified family law mediator as Pursuant to the Texas Rules. Following graduation, Mrs. Surell became licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas and has now joined the Jackson Law Firm as an associate.
