Hi, I'm John Baker; I'm one of the attorneys with Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers. In Hampton Roads, we're lucky to be surrounded by the water; whether it's the Lafayette or Lynnhaven River, the Chesapeake Bay or the Atlantic Ocean, it's a boat lover's paradise around here. Any day out on the water you can see recreational boats, boats from the Navy, or ships coming into port. In fact, there are tens of thousands of recreational sailboats, motor boats, and jet skis alone in the Hampton Roads area.
A few years back, the General Assembly decided to require boaters to take a Coast Guard approved boater safety course. Unfortunately, while this has cut down on accidents a little bit, there are still many boating accidents out there.
Whether you've been involved in a boating accident, an accident involving alcohol, or you're a seaman injured on the job, please give us a call at Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers so we can give you a free consultation and help you out. Our number is 757-455-0077.
Hi, my name is John Baker, coming to you live from Cooper Hurley Broadcasting Studio in our main office in downtown Norfolk. I joined the firm back in February of 2018, and I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself.
I was born and raised in Norfolk, VA, I went to Norfolk Collegiate, I graduated in 2002, I went to Hampton Sydney College, finished up there in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in History and a minor in German. I then went to Ole Miss Law School down in Mississippi and finished up there in 2010. I've been practicing law in Virginia since 2010.
During the seven years after law school, I worked for an insurance defense firm in Norfolk, and then in February, moved over to Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers, where I've taken my experience to help injured people.
If you've been injured in a car, truck, or motorcycle accident, please call us at 757-455-0077 for a free consultation.
