Andrew (A.J.) Thomas graduated from West Virginia University in 2011 with a B.A. in Political Science and minors in Sociology and Philosophy. He received his J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law in 2014, where he graduated in the top one-third of his class. While in law school, A.J. served as a student-attorney for the WVU College of Law Clinical Law Program and received a CALI award for outstanding achievement in the study of Elder Law. A.J. is from Wellsburg, WV, and graduated from Brooke High School in 2007. A.J. currently serves as Fiduciary Commissioner for Brooke County, where he oversees the administration of decedents' estates and provides recommendations to the county commission concerning estate disputes. A.J. focuses much of his time as an attorney on Elder Law, Nursing Home Planning and Asset Protection. Being from a town with an aging population, he is passionate about these areas of law, and has seen the benefits of Asset Protection Planning first-hand.
