Paula A. Hamer is a Shareholder at the Herrling Clark Law Firm, Ltd. Paula’s practice is entirely devoted to family law issues and related litigation. For the past decade, Paula has served clients in the areas of divorce, paternity actions, custody, and physical placement disputes, adoptions, and claims to terminate parental rights. Prior to dedicating her entire practice to the representation of clients involved in family law cases, Paula served as a town, city, and village attorney for various local municipalities.
Paula is an active member of the Outagamie County Bar Association, the Winnebago County Bar Association, and the Waupaca County Bar Association. Paula’s committed presence within these various local bar associations has helped her to establish a strong and effective working relationship with our local judges, appointed guardian ad litems, and other attorneys. These relationships, coupled with Paula’s confidence and track record in the courtroom, position her as a force during complex negotiations. Paula is an aggressive advocate for her clients’ rights and maintains a working knowledge of the law and proposed legislative changes that affect her clients’ bargaining positions.
In 2014, Paula was named a “Top 10 Under 40 Attorney” by the National Academy of Family Attorneys (NAFLA). This elite honor is bestowed on less than 1% of the attorneys licensed throughout the State of Wisconsin. Paula has also been recognized on numerous occasions by the Wisconsin Super Lawyers organization as a Rising Star attorney.
